Dark Chocolate

Does it strike you as odd that chocolate, more specifically dark chocolate, is….. actually good for you?

It’s true.

Although we tend to regard it as a taboo junk food….This delicious treat is derived from cacao seeds of the Theobroma cacao tree. And cacao is packed full of nutrients, antioxidants, and ofcourse yummy goodness.

It’s good for your cells, it’s good for your skin, and even good for your teeth.

Historically it’s been used as both money and medicine.

This well rounded food even has a holiday, National Chocolate Day, on October 28th!

Perhaps cacao is so celebrated because it increases serotonin and therefore can actually boost your mood.

And, it can be added to make a dish savory or sweet!
